For a great many years, the Laffourcade vineyard has been associated with the guaranteed vintage wine Quarts de Chaume.   In 1958, André Laffourcade purchased 19 of the existing 43 hectares of this unique nectar, renowned as an original product of the Chaume hillsides since the Middle Ages.  Succeeding his father in 1970, Pascal Laffourcade decided to launch the ambitious and elitist project of exploiting all three of the prestigious Anjou vintages : Quarts de Chaume, Bonnezeaux, and Savennières.
The vineyard’s philosophy consists of constantly striving for the highest standard of excellence while maintaining a respect for both the soil and the natural qualities of each vintage.
